1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into quarters
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing (see recipe on recipe index page)
1 container cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
2 green onions, chopped
8oz shredded Colby jack cheese
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
On each salad plate, place 1 wedge of lettuce turned on its side. Pour Buttermilk ranch dressing on wedge. Sprinkle with tomatoes, green onions, cheese, and crumbled bacon.
Side note: Traditionally this salad is served with blue cheese and blue cheese crumbles in lieu of the Buttermilk Ranch. If you prefer blue cheese it would work wonderfully on this salad. I personally prefer the Buttermilk Ranch. Try it either way!
