Hot Chocolate Mug Cakes

                                                                        Familyfun.com

Though I know that many of you are viewing this post from a nice sunny delightfully warm place somewhere in the world, it is drizzling freezing rain outside my window making this recipe seem oh so appropriate! I would serve this warm and just so you know in the time it took me to type this that freezing drizzle I mentioned  just turned in to a Ginormous Ice down pour so if you live in that hot sunny wonderful place please send me an inspirational picture J

Ingredients:

Cooking spray
Marshmallow Crème
Chocolate cake batter ( my recommendations would be either Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker Super Moist)
Hint: If the cake mix calls for water use milk instead to make it extra moist

Directions:

Simply coat the insides of oven safe mugs with cooking spray, then fill the mugs halfway with chocolate cake batter. The picture is  of a  German chocolate cake mix, which is a lighter color than regular chocolate cake and looks more like hot cocoa but you can use any chocolate cake mix you have on hand.

Follow the cupcake baking instructions on the cake mix package. The cakes are done when a toothpick inserted into the center of one comes out clean or with just a few crumbs. Allow the cakes to cool for about 15 minutes.

Top each mug with a generous dollop of marshmallow crème and serve with a spoon. One cake mix makes enough batter for 12 of our mugs; if you want fewer than a dozen, bake the remaining batter in a small pan.

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think if you make this, thank you all!
